Implementing the Arab health strategy at the meeting of the Executive Office of the Council of Health Ministers

The Department of Health and Humanitarian Aid – the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, in cooperation and coordination with the Iraqi Ministry of Health, organized the work of the Executive Office, where  Its work is headed by  Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs, Minister of Health and Population, and membership of the UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, Palestine and Qatar, in preparation for the work of the 61st regular session, hosted by Iraq.

The meeting discussed a number of important health topics, most notably the health and humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Sudan, Somalia and Yemen, and following up on the implementation of the strategy. The Arab Council for Health Specialties, digital transformation in health services provided to citizens in Arab countries, supporting and promoting mental health, and examining the conditions of trainees at the Arab Council for Health Specialties in countries experiencing crises, Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General, stated&nbsp ; Head of the Social Affairs Sector, said that the results of the First Arab Conference were discussed on the role of Arab immigrant health competencies in supporting the health sector in Arab countries, and the Amman Declaration issued by this conference, which was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Great Ibn Al Hussein, may God protect him, on the 19th. – October 20, 2024 in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and witnessed a distinguished presence and organization.

The ambassador noted that it was agreed upon during the work of the Executive Office on draft special resolutions. With the listed topics, and submitting them to the 61st regular session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers.
