Implementation of road links has begun in 19 residential areas in Dubai

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has begun implementing road link works in various locations, including 19 residential areas in the emirate, with a total length of 11.5 km, in addition to making traffic improvements and providing side parking lots, sidewalks and lighting poles.
The authority said in a press statement yesterday that the new links contribute to connecting roads and facilitating the entry and exit of vehicles to residential areas by paving unpaved roads, thus achieving smoothness and reducing travel time by up to 40% in those locations, and providing a smooth and safe driving experience. For road users, thus embodying the Authority’s vision of global leadership in easy and sustainable transportation.
The authority stated that a time plan has been drawn up for the project to implement connections in the 19 residential areas, which are: Al Khawaneej 1, Al Barsha South 1, Nad Shamma, Jumeirah 1, Zabeel 1, Al Rashidiya, Al Muhaisnah 1, Al Barsha 1, Al Hudaiba, Al Quoz 1, and Al Quoz 3. Al Qusais 2, Al Satwa, Al Twar 1, Mirdif, Umm Ramool, Umm Suqeim 1, and Al Mizhar. 1 and Al Mizhar 2, with the project scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2026.
The Authority confirmed the continuity of work to enhance the flow of roads and raise their operational efficiency, by implementing rapid traffic solutions and improvements to increase the capacity of vehicle movement, and achieving a positive impact on the flow of the road network in the Emirate of Dubai.
She said that she is striving to meet the needs of population and urban expansion and spread in the emirate, through continuous development of roads and the infrastructure sector in Dubai, to enhance the happiness and well-being of residents and raise the level of traffic safety, so that Dubai’s streets will be of the highest efficiency and quality for its users.
