The General Assembly adopts two resolutions on the ceasefire in Gaza and support for UNRWA

The General Assembly stresses the need for accountability, and reiterates its firm commitment to the vision of a two-state solution in which the Gaza Strip is part of the Palestinian state and under which two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, live side by side in peace and within secure and recognized borders in accordance with the provisions of international law and United Nations resolutions. The General Assembly denounces the legislation adopted by the Israeli Knesset on 28 October 2024, and calls on the Israeli Government to abide by its international obligations, respect the privileges and immunities of the Agency and fulfill its responsibility to allow the rapid, full, safe and unhindered provision of humanitarian assistance in all its forms to the Gaza Strip, throughout sector.
