The Second Jeddah Health Assembly launches the Red Sea Trauma Conference

Today, the Second Jeddah Health Assembly concludes the activities of the “Red Sea Injury Conference,” which is a specialized platform aimed at discussing the latest developments and innovations in the field of injury and accident management. The conference was launched yesterday under the patronage of the CEO of the Second Jeddah Health Assembly; A. D. Shadi Al-Khayyat, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Jeddah.

The Executive Vice President of Health Care Delivery and Employment in the Assembly and Chairman of the Conference Committees, Dr. Mubarak Al Mubarak said that the conference brought together 44 local and international speakers and trainers with extensive experience, as it addressed a group of important topics, including caring for patients before they enter the hospital, developments in the fields of injuries, as well as the importance of mastering leadership in crises within the framework of health care. The trauma registry and its effective role in improving the quality of care were also highlighted, in addition to trauma education to ensure an effective response in emergency situations.

The conference included 6 scientific sessions and 3 dedicated workshops targeting surgical and emergency physicians, as well as disaster and crisis specialists, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences between various specialties. The conference strengthened cooperation between the Jeddah Health Cluster and official sectors such as the Saudi Red Crescent, demonstrating a shared commitment to improving emergency response and comprehensive health care.

The conference also included in its scientific sessions a discussion of the latest surgical skills and advanced technologies, which provides an ideal environment for exchanging ideas and best practices among participants, to support research and development efforts in the health sector.

This conference is the culmination of the efforts made to achieve the national transformation goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as it seeks to enhance the capabilities of health personnel by providing advanced educational programs, to benefit society and improve the level of health services provided.
