المملكة: The Saudi Red Crescent participates in the Red Sea Trauma Conference in Jeddah

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority participated in the Red Sea Trauma Conference, which was organized by the Second Health Cluster in Jeddah Governorate on December 10-11, 2024.

Aspects of the Authority’s participation

The authority’s participation included presenting a workshop on cases of injuries in the pre-hospital stage, and an introductory exhibition on the mechanism of receiving reports at the command and control center and the journey of an ambulance report from its receipt until the patient’s arrival at the health facility.

The Authority also introduced splints for fracture cases, modern technologies used in the field of injuries, and the contents of the disaster bag that supports crisis management, in addition to the “Lux” device and its effective role in cases of cardiac and respiratory arrest.

The Authority reviewed the active infection path in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region in coordination with health facilities to ensure the speedy arrival of infected people to appropriate medical facilities based on field evaluation in accordance with the standards of the National Triage Guide.
The pathway uses advanced technologies to transfer medical information to hospitals before cases arrive, which improves medical response and reduces deaths and complications.

In addition, the Authority reviewed a number of modern vehicles that were introduced to the ambulance service, such as scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, Khuzam vehicles, and Tuwaiq buses.
