Ras Al Khaimah, 12 December / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Investment and Trade Summit 2024 concluded its activities, which were held under the slogan “Propelling Ras Al Khaimah to become an investment powerhouse” with the participation of many government departments and investment companies.
The summit, which has become one of the most prominent events in its field, highlighted the great efforts made by the emirate to enhance its position as a leading investment destination.
Sheikh Engineer Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, confirmed in his closing speech that the summit reflected the great development that Ras Al Khaimah is witnessing in various fields, and strengthens its position as a strategic destination for investment.
He said that the strategic sectors are a priority in Ras Al Khaimah, with the aim of attracting investments and driving economic growth, pointing out that the Ras Al Khaimah government is making unremitting efforts to develop hotel projects, create an attractive business environment, and continuously increase the number of tourists, as the emirate aspires to attract more than 3 million tourists by Year 2030.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi expressed his happiness at hosting this important event in the emirate, which paved the way for the entry of international companies such as “Wayne Resorts,” in addition to a group of new hotels that enhance the tourism industry in the emirate, noting that the aviation industry is also witnessing remarkable growth. The Department of Civil Aviation and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport contribute to attracting investments that support the local economy.
He explained that Ras Al Khaimah’s unique strategic location helps reach a third of the world’s population within 4 hours by plane, making it an ideal destination for investment, tourism, work and living.
He pointed to the role of major airlines such as “Air Arabia”, “Go Indigo”, and “Air India Express”, in addition to European airlines such as “Azur Air” from Russia, “Centrum Air” from Uzbekistan, and “Smart Wings”. “, “Ural Airlines”, and “S7 Airlines”, in supporting tourism and investment growth in Ras Al Khaimah.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi stressed that Ras Al Khaimah enjoys exceptional growth opportunities, noting that the emirate is focusing on basic projects to ensure the sustainability of capital growth in the coming decades, which strengthens its position as a sustainable investment power in the region and the world.
