The Kingdom won 28 international medals at the International Junior Science Olympiad in Romania

The Saudi Science Team won a bronze medal in the 21st edition of the International Junior Science Olympiad, which was held in Bucharest, Romania, from December 2 to 11, with the participation of 303 students representing 52 countries.

 The medal was won by the female student. Maryam Osama Turkistani, from Mecca Education, raising the Kingdom’s tally in this International Olympiad to 28. Medals, including 24 bronze, 3 silver, and 1 gold.

 The Kingdom was represented in this year’s Olympics by a team consisting of 6 students and a number of supervisors, in a strategic partnership between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba”, And the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Elm Company.

 The International Science Olympiad for Juniors is an annual international individual and group competition. It is held in the field of natural sciences for students under the age of 16 on December 31 of the year in which the Olympiad is held.

 The team of each country participating in the Olympiad consists of 6 students who take 3 tests, a multiple choice test, and a test. Extended questions and a practical test in the fields of physics, chemistry, and biology.

 It is worth noting that this is the Kingdom’s eighth participation in the International Junior Science Olympiad, and the first was held A copy of this Olympics in 2004 in Indonesia.
