A small plane crashed on a highway in New York… and traffic was completely paralyzed

A small plane crashed on a highway in Westchester County, New York, on Thursday evening, killing one of the two people on board and injuring the other, authorities said.

Traffic disruption

The accident closed traffic on Interstate 684 in Harrison, about 40 kilometers northeast of Manhattan, at about 7 p.m.
A video clip from the accident site showed the damaged white plane parked next to a barrier in the middle of the road, with ambulances closing all traffic lanes.
