His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the Al Ain region, witnessed the activities of the military parade “Union Fortress 10”, which was organized by the Ministry of Defence, Today, at Al Ain International Airport in Al Ain, under the slogan “Pride and Loyalty, Covenant and Loyalty, Security and Development.”

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the professionalism of the UAE Armed Forces, their advanced training, and their advanced military capabilities and high competencies to keep pace with the country’s renaissance and development process.

His Highness said that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attaches high importance to the armed forces as they are the fortress of the nation and its gains. His Highness pointed out that thanks to the vision of the wise leadership and its diligent follow-up of the affairs of the armed forces, our military units have achieved great achievements at the level of military organization, operational readiness and the efficiency of human qualifications. Our forces have become an example to be followed among the modern armies of the world, as they are the faithful guardians of the national development process.

“Union Fortress 10” included many activities, most notably the joint military parade of various formations and units of the armed forces, which reflects the high readiness and complete and precise coordination among them, in addition to the implementation of field scenarios and maneuvers that embody the advanced combat capabilities and capabilities of members of the armed forces.

Major forces, namely the Ground Forces, the Air Force, the Air Defense, the Presidential Guard, the Joint Aviation, the National Guard, and the Abu Dhabi Police, also participated in the military parade, along with the entities supporting the Ministry of Defence, in order to demonstrate the advanced military capabilities in carrying out rapid intervention missions with flexibility and high efficiency in defense of the country. “Union Fortress 10” included implementing an electronic warfare mission, reviewing rapid intervention operations, raid operations from Abu Dhabi Police units, parachuting, and dismantling explosives using robots, in addition to displaying the capabilities of a number of distinguished military pieces of the ground forces, such as the “Rabdan” amphibious combat armored vehicle and a cannon. “G6”.

The military parade also included the use of a number of helicopters, such as the Chinook heavy transport helicopter, the Black Hawk helicopter for air support operations, and the Apache attack helicopter, in addition to carrying out mock raids from a group of F-16 and Mirage 2000 fighters.

It is worth noting that the first edition of the “Fortress of the Union” military parade was launched on the Abu Dhabi Corniche in March 2017, and then moved in its second edition to the Emirate of Sharjah in November of the same year.

The city of Al Ain hosted the third edition of the “Union Fortress 3” military show in February 2018, after which “Union Fortress 4” moved to the Emirate of Fujairah in November of 2018, followed by the Emirate of Ajman hosting the “Union Fortress 5” show in March of 2019, to be followed by The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah hosted the “Union Fortress 6” events in November 2019.
