“Al-Wael” is the hero of the book “Tales and Memories” for 5 decades

Over the course of 5 decades, the book “With Muhammad Al-Wael… Stories and Memories” documents the career and life of the late journalist Muhammad Al-Wael, the former editor-in-chief of Al-Youm, and one of the most prominent figures in the Saudi press who left a clear mark in the media field.
The book, published by journalist and writer Muhammad Al-Shaqaa, deals in 3 chapters with important stages in Al-Wael’s life, starting with his work in print journalism and his editorship of “Al-Youm” for 16 years, all the way to his leadership in digital journalism, and his role in establishing the concept of “charitable journalism,” which Use it as a community service tool.
In the book, Al-Shaqaa reviews his memories with Al-Wael, whom he described as a teacher, role model, and inspiration for him during his media career, reviewing humanitarian and professional positions that left a profound impact on his life.

The book, published by the Author’s Voice Publishing House, is a reference for those interested in the biographies of media professionals and the history of media in the Kingdom, as it chronicles an important stage in Saudi journalism. It also highlights the professional and humanitarian values ​​that the book’s hero, “Al Wael,” carried throughout his career, as an example of a role model journalist who combines professionalism and humanity.
Al-Shaqaa will launch and sign his book on the evening of December 17 during the Jeddah International Book Fair 2024. On the same day, he will also sign his new book, “Media Anatomy.”
