"Fujairah 96" Wins the 2024 World Powerboat Championship title

Dubai, December 15 / WAM / The Fujairah 96 boat, led by the duo Giuseppe and Rosario De Cola, was crowned champion of the 2024 X-Cat World Powerboat Championship, after coming in fifth place during the second race of the Dubai Grand Prix, which was organized by the Dubai International Marine Club. Today on the beaches of Jumeirah, with the participation of 10 boats competing for first places.
“Fujairah 96” entered the list of honor and the golden record of the world championship, which was launched from the shores of the Emirates for the first time in 2010, where it won the title of the twelfth edition and topped the overall standings with 268 points, 6 points ahead of its closest competitor, the “Sweikat 2” boat, which came in runner-up. While the Victory 7 boat came in third place.
The race’s lead went to the British team’s boat No. 8, led by Martin Campbell and Scott Williams, which covered the race distance of 54.5 nautical miles in a time of 49 minutes and 3.13 seconds, while second place went to the “Sweikat 2” boat from Sweden, and the “Sweikat 2” boat came in second place. Victory 7” led by Salem Al-Adidi and Issa Al Ali is in third place.
The other places saw the “Sharjah 9” boat come in fourth place, while the “Q8 Oil 17” boat came in sixth place, followed by the “Tisalmare 88” boat in seventh place, and the “Città di Palermo 22” boat in eighth place, while two boats were not able to “Marine 3” and “Triple Two 10” were unable to complete the race due to technical malfunctions.
