The UAE condemns the Israeli government’s decision to expand settlements in the occupied Golan Heights

The UAE strongly condemned the Israeli government’s decision to expand settlement in the occupied Golan Heights, which threatens further escalation and tension in the region.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE’s keenness on Syria’s unity, independence and territorial integrity, noting that the decision to expand settlement in the Golan Heights constitutes an extension of the perpetuation of the occupation and a breach and violation of international laws.

The Ministry expressed the UAE’s categorical rejection of all measures and practices aimed at changing the legal status in the occupied Golan Heights and threatening the security, sovereignty and stability of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic.
