Under the patronage of the President of the Qatar Chamber, the Gulf Family Business Forum is held in Doha under the title “From Effectiveness to Sustainability.”

At the end of next January, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, the State of Qatar will host the Gulf Family Business Forum under the title (From Effectiveness to Sustainability). The forum aims to explore new methods and visions for developing the concepts of family businesses, with Focus on governance and transparency, writing family constitutions, and enhancing sustainability, in order to achieve more effectiveness and sustainability for future generations, by organizing the Tamkeen Academy for Educational Professions. and competencies, with the support of Qatar Chamber

An elite group of family business experts from across the Gulf, who have extensive experience in managing and developing this type of company, will speak at the forum. Speakers include business leaders and consultants specialized in governance, strategic planning, and sustainability, who will share their visions and practical experiences, in addition to providing innovative solutions that enhance the continuity and success of family businesses across generations.

In this context, the head of the forum, Dr. Khamis bin Obaid Al-Ajmi, said, “Family companies are considered the cornerstone of the economies of the world in general, and in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in particular, as these companies contribute significantly to the gross domestic product and employment in the region, but Despite their importance, these companies face unique governance challenges and it is generally believed that these challenges can affect their sustainability and growth.”

He added, “From this standpoint, Tamkeen Academy seeks to launch the first Family Business Governance Forum on January 27-28 in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the aim of addressing these challenges by providing a platform for family business owners, governance experts, and policy makers to share ideas, best practices, and strategies.” For effective governance, we are very pleased to host the heads of the Gulf Chambers of Commerce, the heads of Gulf companies and experts from the region and the world in one place.”

In this context, it is necessary to mention the Tamkeen Academy, which was established in the State of Qatar in 2024, and quickly became one of the actors in providing educational and consulting solutions and capacity building programs, in line with the state’s direction towards empowering institutions and individuals with the skills and practices necessary to enhance productivity and achieve Sustainable growth in light of changing business environments, the academy focuses on three main axes: capacity building, specialized consulting, and academic programs.
