“Saudi Exports” launches the “exemption in exchange for export” service
The corresponding exemption service provides industrial companies with a competitive advantage by exempting them from customs duties on industry inputs intended for export.
This comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to open new horizons for Saudi products and services and enhance its presence in global markets, in order to achieve its vision aimed at achieving sustainable growth in the Kingdom’s non-oil exports.
Export exemption service
The export exemption service aims to enhance the competitiveness of national industrial companies by reducing costs and improving their export capabilities by exempting from customs duties imposed on inputs that fall within the list of industrial capabilities of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and which are used in products that are exported, based on the historical performance of the factory’s exports. During the past 12 months.
To benefit from the export exemption service, the Authority stipulated that the company must have a valid industrial license, and that the exemption request be for inputs that fall within the list of industrial capabilities of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
The conditions for benefiting from the export exemption service include that the materials be included in the industrial license data. The service is characterized by a flexible and fast implementation mechanism, as the process of processing requests does not exceed 5 working days.
Companies wishing to benefit from the customs exemption service for export can enter through the “Senaei” platform of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and then choose the customs exemption service for export.
The “exemption in exchange for export” service comes in response to the aspirations of the industrial sector in the Kingdom, as it aims to facilitate export operations and motivate companies to expand their international business.
It enhances the efforts of “Saudi Exports” in supporting exporters and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in diversifying sources of income and enhancing non-oil exports, through innovative initiatives and services specifically designed to meet the needs of exporters and stimulate the growth of national industries.
