The Jordanian King and the Iraqi Speaker of Parliament discuss developments in the situation in the region

The Jordanian King, King Abdullah II, discussed with the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, the most prominent developments in the region, especially developments in Syria, the need to preserve its security and stability, and the efforts made to stop the Israeli war on Gaza. >

This came during the Jordanian King’s reception, today at Al-Husseiniya Palace, of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, in the presence of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Jordanian Crown Prince.

The Jordanian King, according to a statement by the Royal Court on Tuesday, expressed his congratulations to Al-Mashhadani on his election as Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, while the meeting discussed the strong relations between Jordan and Iraq and their brotherly peoples.< /span>

The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Safadi, the Director of the King’s Office, Engineer Alaa Al-Bataineh, and the Director of General Intelligence, Major General Ahmed Hosni.< /span>
