Two poets from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait qualify in the first episode of the program "The reversible"

Abu Dhabi, December 17 / WAM / The competitions for the first live episode of the program “The Reverse” in its fourth season yesterday evening resulted in the qualification of poets Rashid Al Jumian Al Marri from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Sultan Al Marri from Kuwait.

“Al-Mankos” is the first poetry program of its kind that specializes in the “Mankos” melody, one of the most prominent Emirati and Gulf traditional arts associated with the melodies of Nabati poetry.

The program is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority as part of its continued keenness to introduce popular heritage and enhance its role in building national identity.

The first episode of the program “Al-Mankos” began with an artistic painting that combined sweet voice and heritage. Then the presenter of the program, Al-Anoud Badr, welcomed the audience, viewers, and the judging panel, which included Mohammed bin Mushait Al-Marri, Shaya Al-Ayyafi, Hamoud Jalawi, and Miteb bin Karwaz Al-Marri.

Muhammad bin Mushayt Al Marri confirmed that the program revived the art of “mankus” and restored its glow among young people, while Hamoud Jalawi explained that the beauty of the voice, mastery of melody, and strength of spirit, in addition to innovation and creativity, are the most prominent standards of the “mankus” knight.

For his part, Shayea Al-Ayyafi pointed out the increasing interest of young people in this art, explaining that social media and private gatherings showed great interaction with the fourth season of the program, and Miteb bin Cruz Al-Marri also confirmed that the competition this season is strong and all participants enjoy exceptional talents.

18 contestants compete in the “The Reversed” program through five main stages, leading to the announcement of the winner of the title of “Knight of the Reversed.”

The results of the judging committee’s scores resulted in Rashid Al Jumian Al Marri from Saudi Arabia qualifying after obtaining a score of 57, and Sultan Al Marri from Kuwait who achieved a score of 55.

The rest of the results came with Salem Al-Yami and Mardi Fahd Al-Suwaidan from Saudi Arabia obtaining 54 degrees each, while Osama bin Awadah Al-Jaber Al-Marri from Saudi Arabia and Hamad Salem bin Malhi Al-Mazrouei from the Emirates each obtained 53 degrees.

Public voting via the website and application for the “Al Mankos” program will be decisive in the qualification of two contestants who were not able to qualify directly, as the audience will have the opportunity to support their favorite stars to ensure they continue in the competition.
