Dubai Roads launches the “Bus Ride Sharing” initiative through smart applications

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai launched the “Bus Ride Sharing” initiative, which allows passengers to participate in the use of minibuses through the reservation system through smart applications, in a step that aims to provide an easy and fast means of transportation and provide innovative transportation solutions to the emirate’s residents and visitors in cooperation with 3 specialized companies. Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, Executive Director of the Public Transport Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority, said: “Through this initiative, we aim to attract and attract new segments of society as well to use a fast and comfortable means of transportation that in many cases replaces the use of private vehicles. Bahrozian added: “These buses operate on demand, and reservations will be made through three smart applications: (Citylink Shuttle), (DrivenBus), and (Fluxx Daily) affiliated with three companies specialized in this field. The service will initially start operating through ( 20) A minibus for each of the companies responsible for managing and operating the service through the aforementioned applications. The capacity of these buses ranges from (13) to (30) seats and the cost of transportation will be Variable based on distance traveled and demand for service.

Bahrozian said: “This initiative aims to encourage the public to use licensed means of transportation, and it also contributes to achieving the authority’s strategic goals and objectives related to the axes of integration and innovative mobility and anticipating the future in sustainable mobility.
