“A Recipe for Escape” and “Shaala”.. Films from the Saudi identity at the “Frame 2024” exhibition

This is within the syllabus of the graduation project for the Department of Cinema and Theater Arts, which continues until tomorrow, Thursday, December 19, 2024 AD, at the college headquarters.
The exhibition highlights “7” short films, varying in their titles and ideas derived from the cultural identity of the Kingdom, to include: the film “A Recipe for Escape,” the film “Shaala,” the film “Night of the Hovercraft,” the film “Lost in Al-Dahna,” and the film “Abu Lantern.” In addition to the movie “Work Bag” and the movie “Remnant.”
Film making
The exhibition contributes to demonstrating the knowledge, skill, and technical gains achieved by female graduates through their innovative projects in filmmaking, in accordance with the methodology of creative thinking and critical thinking skills.
The exhibition also provides a space for interaction and communication between female graduates, university students, employers in the labor market, those interested in the field, researchers, partners, the business sector, and society, in addition to preparing female graduates to compete professionally in the labor market and enter the world of entrepreneurship.
Frame Exhibition 2024
The head of the Department of Cinema and Theater Arts at Princess Noura University, Dr. Haya bint Abdul Rahman Al-Rashoud, explained that the exhibition comes within the efforts made by the College of Designs and Arts to contribute to the qualification of national cadres, by providing a supportive and stimulating environment for creativity, expertise, and directed scientific competencies, and keeping pace with specializations. Required in the labor market, especially in the field of films.
The “Frame 2024” exhibition at the College of Designs and Arts is in line with the objectives of the strategic plan of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University 2025, to contribute to the preparation of competitive competencies, and to qualify and support female students by providing an educational environment that stimulates creativity, and enhances culture and arts, and the spirit of learning, research and innovation among them, including Supports women’s leadership in the development process.
