Dubai.. ICBA Center reveals its ten-year strategy and new identity

Dubai, December 19 / WAM / The International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) announced its ten-year strategy “2024-2034” and its new corporate identity during a huge ceremony held at its headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of an elite group of prominent figures, including global leaders in the field of sustainability and key partners. The new strategy aims to strengthen ICBA’s role in confronting global agricultural challenges, such as salinity, water scarcity and climate change, with a focus on finding innovative and sustainable solutions to improve food and water security, especially in dry and saline regions.

Her Excellency Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chair of the Board of Directors, confirmed that “ICBA” has been working since its founding in 1999 to confront urgent environmental and agricultural challenges, thanks to the support of the wise leadership of the state and its founding partners, such as the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development, noting that the new strategy will enable the center To continue its leadership in innovation, while strengthening cooperation to meet increasing global challenges.

For her part, Dr. Tarifa Ajif Al Zaabi, Director General of ICBA, said that the strategy focuses on deepening the center’s impact by developing innovative scientific solutions, expanding international partnerships, and enhancing resilience in agricultural and environmental systems, noting that this strategy reflects ICBA’s decades-long legacy in managing Salinity and adaptation to climate change, stressing that the center will continue to provide practical solutions that are widely applicable to support sustainable agriculture.

During the ceremony, the center’s new corporate identity was launched, which includes a logo symbolizing ICBA’s mission. The blue color represents water as a vital element, the brown color represents soil as a basis for sustainable agriculture, and the green color represents growth and regeneration, with a focus on crops capable of adapting to the climate and biodiversity.

The Director General of ICBA added that the new identity reflects our ambitious vision to meet the changing needs of our partners and the communities we serve. We will continue to drive innovation and partnerships to achieve tangible scientific solutions to address major challenges, including food security and climate change.

ICBA’s ten-year strategy affirmed its firm commitment to confronting agricultural challenges through innovation and cooperation, while strengthening international partnerships to develop sustainable agricultural practices and achieve food and water security, while the Center’s role continues as a global leader in empowering societies to overcome climate challenges and support sustainability and shared growth.
