Amidst a large audience, brilliant performances at the Riyadh Theater Festival

The fourth day of the Riyadh Theater Festival witnessed a variety of activities and events that attracted a wide attendance of theater lovers and patrons.
The activities began with a workshop titled “The Story Architect: The Role of the Dramaturg in Theater,” presented by Dr. Riyad Sakran, during which he reviewed the theoretical concepts related to the role of the dramaturg in constructing theatrical work, and the importance of the dramatic structure from the beginning to the results, stressing the necessity of having a clear intellectual position among the playwright.

The two plays, “The Adventurer and the Mamluk,” also presented a mixture of human feelings and manifestations of history, with a narrative treatment that excelled in evoking the symbolism of the past and its impact on the present. As for the play, “The Revivers,” it reflected a contemporary dramatic vision inspired by reality.

It is noteworthy that the Riyadh Theater Festival, which began last Sunday and continues until December 26, is one of the most important cultural events that celebrates theater in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
