With the worst performance in three months… European stocks fall

European stocks are headed for their worst weekly performance in three months on Friday. The European 600 fell 0.8% by 0812 GMT, recording its lowest level in about a month and heading towards incurring its largest weekly loss since early last September.

Main and sub-sectors

All major European subsectors fell, with banks and mining companies leading the losses. The French CAC 40 and CAC 40 indices fell by about one percent.
The British Financial Times 100 index recorded a smaller decline compared to its European counterparts, declining 0.3%.
