Al Dhafra Festival announces the first Arabian horse beauty pageant
Al Dhafra, December 20 / WAM / Al Dhafra Festival, in its 18th session, announced the organization of the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Beauty Pageant, which is being held for the first time at the festival, to join its activities and competitions, as it has been allocated to breeders and owners of Arabian horses in Al Dhafra.
The auction comes as a result of joint cooperation between the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, and as part of their efforts to preserve the Emirati heritage and work on its sustainability.
Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, appreciated the wise leadership’s support for heritage events held in the country in general and the Al Dhafra region in particular, stressing that the UAE plays a major role in organizing and holding events for Arabian horses, which is what It contributed to confirming the country’s distinguished position in this field, supporting efforts to preserve Arabian horse breeds, and encouraging breeders and owners of Arabian horses in general and in Al Dhafra in particular.
His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director of the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, said that Arabian horses are an integral part of the UAE’s heritage, noting that organizing the auction allocated to owners and breeders of Al Dhafra comes from the Authority and the Association’s interest in authentic heritage symbols, in order to preserve them as a cultural heritage and an element of Elements of national identity.
He stressed the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and the Emirates Arabian Horse Association, by adding the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Beauty Pageant to the activities and competitions of the Al Dhafra Festival, to focus on heritage and highlight the beauty of purebred Arabian horses and their distinctive characteristics.
The auction is scheduled to be organized as part of the activities of the fourth and final leg of the Al Dhafra Festival during the period from January 11 to 30, 2025 in Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra region in Abu Dhabi.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Association explained that it will be announced on the association’s website in the coming days that registration will be opened to participate in the auction for breeders and owners from Al Dhafra.
