The city is an important tourist attraction, as it is famous for its gardens and orchards, while its unique nature constitutes an important factor in attracting local and international tourists. The Bardi Safari Park Reserve project has contributed to revitalizing the tourism movement in the city, as it is considered the largest in the world outside the continent of Africa.
The city holds the Al Dhaid Dates and Dates Festival annually, while it witnesses its most important and annually renewed heritage festival, which is the camel racing festival, which aims to highlight aspects of popular heritage, and fulfill its mission of preserving the heritage and introducing new generations to the past.
