Memorandum of Understanding to promote sustainable housing development in Dubai

As part of its commitment to supporting sustainable development in the housing sector and achieving the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment and Wasl Group signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing innovative housing projects that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and community stability.
The signing ceremony took place at Wasl Group’s headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road, in the presence of Hisham Abdullah Al Qassim, CEO of Wasl Group, and Omar Hamad Bushahab, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
The memorandum of understanding aims to study opportunities to implement sustainable housing projects on lands provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, with a focus on developing innovative initiatives that meet the needs of citizens and enhance the well-being of society. The agreement also includes enhancing cooperation between the two parties through Wasl Group’s subsidiaries, ensuring optimal investment of resources and capabilities.
Within the framework of joint cooperation, the agreement gives priority to Wasl Group in benefiting from future investment opportunities related to housing projects, which reflects the commitment of both parties to developing innovative and sustainable solutions that contribute to achieving the goals of the Dubai Urban Plan 2040.
The memorandum of understanding also focuses on enhancing the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions, to support the development of housing policies and the adoption of innovative technologies to improve the quality of future housing services. The terms include inviting Wasl Group to participate in specialized events and exhibitions organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
On this occasion, Hisham Abdullah Al Qassim, CEO of Wasl Group, expressed his pride in cooperating with the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, saying: “This agreement represents a strategic step in the process of cooperation between the two institutions, through which we seek to provide innovative projects that serve citizens and enhance Dubai’s future aspirations.” “
For his part, Omar Hamad Bushahab, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, stressed the importance of this cooperation, noting that: “The signing of the agreement reflects the establishment’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships that support Dubai’s plan to achieve sustainable urban development, and we seek to improve the quality of life of citizens through Innovative housing projects that achieve sustainability and promote innovation.”
Joint working teams are scheduled to be formed between the two institutions to develop detailed implementation plans, ensuring the achievement of the strategic objectives of both parties efficiently and effectively, while enhancing continuous coordination to achieve sustainable housing development.
