“Modon” signs 23 contracts worth 1.75 billion riyals to develop industrial cities

This comes in accordance with the ambitious development plans launched by “Modon” during the year 2024 to develop the investment environment in the industrial cities in partnership with the public and private sectors, in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The contracts signed by MODON include the development of infrastructure areas, including the infrastructure development project in the industrial city of Medina, and the development of MODON Oasis in Al-Ahsa and linking it to external roads.
The contracts include: implementing the road linking the industrial city of Asir and the main road, with a length of 4.5 km, and rehabilitating the road linking with Sudair City for Industry and Business, with a length of 10 km.
The contracts signed by MODON include developing infrastructure networks for the third industrial city in Dammam in the second phase.
171 ready factories
The contracts included the establishment of 171 ready-made factories with an area of 900 square meters per factory in the industrial cities of Dammam, Jeddah, Al-Kharj, and Sudair, in addition to the project to implement 76 ready-made factories in the food cluster in Jeddah.
Fire station in Dammam
“Modon” signed a contract to establish the fire station in the first industrial city in Dammam, and to construct gates and fences in the industrial city in Al-Kharj to enhance security and safety measures. In addition to implementing the completion and expansion works of the second industrial city in Riyadh.
It is noteworthy that “Modon” completed pioneering development plans in 2024 that had a significant impact in advancing industrial development, including the launch of the largest food cluster of its kind on an area exceeding 11 million square meters in Jeddah, and the signing of two memorandums of understanding with the Saudi Railway Company “SAR.” To connect the logistics zone in the second industrial city in Dammam to the railway network, and to establish a passenger station in Sudair, in addition to signing billion-dollar projects with the private sector to implement ready-made factory products, Industrial land development and infrastructure services.
Since its establishment, “Modon” has succeeded in developing more than 215 million square meters, and has worked to implement an integrated infrastructure system. Today, it supervises 37 industrial cities, including 6 industrial oases around the Kingdom, which include more than 6,800 industrial facilities that enhance the industrial sector and contribute to doubling exports.
