المملكة: Imam Abdulaziz Royal Reserve stresses the prohibition of camping within its scope
The Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve Development Authority stressed the prohibition of camping within the scope of the Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve, as part of its ongoing efforts to preserve the natural environment and protect natural lands from the deterioration of vegetation cover.
Through this measure, the Authority aims to enhance the environmental balance and preserve biological and plant diversity in the Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve, and to reduce the negative effects caused by camping on the vegetation cover and prevent it from performing its vital role in the environmental balance process.
Through this measure, the Authority aims to enhance the environmental balance and preserve biological and plant diversity in the Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve, and to reduce the negative effects caused by camping on the vegetation cover and prevent it from performing its vital role in the environmental balance process.
Field tours
The Authority confirmed that camping is not permitted in the two reserves, and that it is taking strict measures against violators in order to protect natural resources, and its monitoring teams will intensify its field tours using the latest technologies, and apply laws and regulations against them in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the current year 2024, the Authority’s environmental monitoring teams have seized more than (440) environmental violations in the Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve, and they were dealt with in accordance with the environmental system and its executive regulations.
