In the midst of a large presence… Fahd Al-Baqami is crowned the poet of the banner

The CEO of the Radio and Television Corporation, Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harithi, crowned the winner of the title of poet of the banner in its third season, poet Fahd Bajad Al-Baqmi, after winning first place and receiving a cash prize of one million riyals.
The “Poet of the Banner” program competition concluded yesterday, Tuesday, and was broadcast live on the Saudi Channel, Riyadh Radio, and the Shahid platform at ten o’clock in the evening, amid a large audience presence at the Diriyah Theater at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, in the presence of an elite group of poetry stars.

“Poet of the Banner” program

The runner-up for the title was won by the poet Ayman Al-Ruwaili and a prize worth 500,000 riyals. The poet Levy Al-Mutairi also won third place and a prize worth 300,000 riyals. The fourth place went to the poet Omar Al-Mutairi and a prize worth 200,000 riyals.

The Banner Poet Competition is organized by the Radio and Television Corporation within the framework of its strategy based on the leadership’s vision of supporting culture, literature and poetry, and discovering poetic talents from the sons and daughters of the Kingdom, the Gulf and the Arab world and harnessing them to support the culture of all society, in a way that serves national, social and humanitarian values ​​and orientations.

The program is a prestigious platform for displaying poetic talent and reviving the Arab poetic heritage, especially in the field of Nabati poetry, on the Saudi channel, which bet on the creative capabilities of the competitors.

The jury was represented by a constellation of poetry and literature stars: Dr. Saeed Al-Sarihi, poet Nasser Al-Subaie, and poet Khaled Al-Muraikhi, presented by Noha Nabil and Saeed Al-Mana, and joined by Sultan Al-Humaili from the Poets’ Corridor.
