Our national team bid farewell to the Gulf Cup by tying with its Omani counterpart

Kuwait, December 27 / WAM / Our first national team bid farewell to the Arabian Gulf Football Cup after tying this evening against its Omani counterpart 1-1 in the last preliminary round match in Group One, at Jaber Al Mubarak Stadium.

Our national team needed to win today by two goals to qualify, but its score stopped at two points, while the Omani team reserved its place in the semi-finals to meet the second-place team in Group Two, topping the group with 5 points, with a fair play difference over its Kuwaiti counterpart.
In the second match in the same group, the Kuwaiti team qualified for the next round by tying with its Qatari counterpart 1-1, at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, as runner-up in the first group, to face the first-place team in the second group.
The Kuwaiti team raised its score to 5 points in second place, and the Qatari team to 2 points.
