The Ministry of Interior announced that the number of unified digital identities issued through its electronic platform “Absher” exceeded more than 28 million digital identities, as part of its efforts towards digital transformation, by providing more than (460) services provided through its three platforms (individuals – business – government). ).
Digital identities represent information that enables beneficiaries to access their services, in an advanced step in line with achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by improving the quality of services provided to citizens.

Digital transformation journey

It allows beneficiaries to use a wide range of services provided by the sectors of the Ministry of Interior through the Absher platform, or to link with government or private platforms to conduct safe and reliable transactions through the national unified access portal “Nafath”, which enhances digital confidence and enables the beneficiary of digital transformation services and transactions. National electronic.
The Ministry of Interior’s digital transformation journey began decades ago, as its electronic platform “Absher” was the result of multiple methodologies and programs that contributed to achieving many achievements in the digital transformation journey of services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The “Absher” platform contributes effectively to the development of e-government, enabling digital transformation in the Kingdom, and improving the quality of services provided to citizens by improving government services procedures and providing them electronically to raise the satisfaction rate of beneficiaries, and enabling them to complete procedures smoothly and conveniently.
It is noteworthy that the Kingdom jumped (25) places in the United Nations e-Government Development Index 2024, to be among the group of leading countries in the world, and achieved (fourth) place globally, (first) regionally, and (second) among the G20 countries in the digital services index, Achieving seventh place in the e-participation index, and the city of Riyadh achieved third place out of 193 cities around the world.
