المملكة: Unified Operations Centers (911)… an ideal model for enhancing security and services

The Unified Security Operations Centers (911), launched by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Quality of Life Program – one of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs – are an ideal model in the field of enhancing security and humanitarian services.
This comes through integrating modern systems and technologies with organized field work to manage security and service operations, quickly respond to emergency situations, and contribute to building a safer and more stable society, with sustainable support for the quality of life of individuals and communities in the Kingdom.

Strengthening security services

In light of technological progress and rapid population growth, the need to enhance security services has become an urgent necessity, so unified security operations centers came within the Ministry of Interior’s innovative steps to represent a turning point in the security and services system in the Kingdom, by merging operations rooms to operate under one roof using a unified technical system.
This is with the aim of creating an integrated operational environment that contributes to achieving coordination and integration between the various security and service agencies by unifying emergency numbers under the unified number (911).
This enhances the efficiency of the response, reduces duplication of efforts between different agencies, and raises the level of satisfaction of citizens, residents and visitors with security and humanitarian services.

Investing in the latest technology and communications systems

The Unified Security Operations Centers have invested in the latest technology and communications systems to pass reports and information accurately and in a timely manner. They have also developed an advanced system for unifying and analyzing databases, which allows detecting potential security patterns and responding to threats proactively.
In addition, it facilitates the process of exchanging information between different parties with speed and high accuracy using the unified data analysis system, which allows extracting information that contributes to making security and service decisions based on the collected data.

The National Center for Security Operations (currently) operates in (3) main regions (Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province) with trained human cadres and an advanced technical system, enabling it to provide integrated security and humanitarian services with high speed and efficiency, and is characterized by rapid response to calls.

Answer all incoming calls

All incoming calls to the number (911) are answered within less than two seconds, and reports are passed to the concerned authorities within a period not exceeding (45) seconds, which reduces emergency response time and increases the effectiveness of handling reports with a qualified work team fluent in several international languages, to meet Meeting the needs of all segments of society with high efficiency.
The unified security operations centers (911) reflect the spirit of cooperation between different agencies and the role of technology in improving the quality of services, as a number of security agencies work in each center.
They represent (security and traffic patrols, police patrols, special forces for road security, civil defense, special forces for environmental security, facility security, border guards, and drug control).
It also represents service bodies such as (the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism, the Saudi Red Crescent, the Saudi Electricity Company, the National Water Company, and the Heritage Authority), to provide comprehensive services, whether of a security or service nature.

The Unified Security Operations Centers (911) continue to perform their vital role as a central platform and integrated system for receiving and processing emergency calls and general inquiries.
It receives about 85 thousand calls daily, confirming the Kingdom’s commitment to providing the best security services with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and representing an investment in the security and safety of Saudi society, residents and visitors, to build a safe and sustainable future.
