During the year 2024, the artistic and sports community witnessed many issues and crises involving stars, ranging from substance abuse, quarrels, and others.
Despite the great popularity of many of these stars, they found themselves in the dock overnight, and perhaps the most prominent of them are the following:

Hamo Becca was imprisoned

The arrest of Egyptian Mahraganat singer Hamo Beka and his two-month imprisonment sparked controversy on social media, as the investigating authorities decided yesterday, Friday, to implement the ruling after rejecting the appeal for his release, and to reconcile with the Musical Professions Syndicate.

He was deported to implement the ruling, and the necessary legal measures were taken against him.
This case dates back to 2018, when Beka held the “Wash Ghadab” concert in the Bitash area in Alexandria, without a permit, and the Music Professions Syndicate filed a report against him for holding a concert without a permit.

As for the artist Saad Al-Saghir, he was also exposed to a serious case after he was arrested at the airport the moment he arrived from abroad, in possession of prohibited materials.
After his trial, he was punished with aggravated imprisonment for 3 years on charges of possession of narcotic hashish, and a 30,000-pound fine, and he was acquitted of the charge of possession and abuse of Tramadol, but he filed an appeal against the prison sentence.

The famous Egyptian Al-Ahly player, Emam Ashour, got into an altercation inside a famous mall in Cairo, and was charged with assaulting a security personnel.
After a period of controversy and referring him to trial, the court ruled that he was innocent, and the prosecution appealed the ruling. The sentence was 6 months in prison, but the case subsequently ended in reconciliation.

Abbas Abu Al-Hassan

Egyptian artist Abbas Abu Al-Hassan was subjected to a case after he ran over two women, one of whom was killed, while the second recovered from serious injuries.
Abu Al-Hassan paid blood money to the families of his victims and waived the case with written approvals regarding civil and criminal rights. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol was not proven, so the crisis ended.

The artist Mido Adel and the artist Suwaidan entered into a legal dispute, after the latter accused the Egyptian artist of assaulting her and cutting the “banners” of a theater.
The court is still considering the charge against Mido Adel, and Suwaidan also filed a complaint with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, accusing Adel of insulting her on the stage of the Balloon Theater during the performance of the play “Sayed Darwish,” which forced her to slap him in the face.

Director Omar Zahran

The case of director Omar Zahran is still arousing controversy in Egypt, after he was sentenced to two years in prison with hard labor, accusing him of stealing the jewelry and belongings of visual artist Shalimar Sharbatly, the wife of director Khaled Youssef.
After the ruling, the Egyptian director filed an appeal, but the court decided to postpone consideration of it until next January 8 to hear the plea.

In another incident, the Egyptian artist sparked more controversy last July after he appeared surrounded by a number of fans, and became angry at one of the young men, demanding that he hand over the mobile phone before slapping the young man in the face, so that the young man returned the slap.
