Ahmed Adawiya married in 1976 and has a daughter named Warda and a son, Muhammad Adawiya, who is also a well-known singer. Certainly, Adawiya is a unique phenomenon who only resembles herself. He created a joyful mood in the Egyptian street that was not repeated.

Ahmed Adawiya was exposed to a controversial accident in the early 1990s that almost ended his life, causing him to be paralyzed for a long time. He stayed away from the spotlight completely until he recently recovered and began to gradually appear. With some simple attempts, whether by re-arranging his old songs or participating with some young stars in songs of a popular nature, such as his song (Al-Nas Al-Raiqa) with the Lebanese singer (Rami Ayyash), which met with great success and acclaim. Although Adawiya has been away from singing completely since the early nineties due to the accident he was exposed to, he remained at the top of popular songs in Egypt and in a high position in this genre of singing until his passing today.
