Government leaders from the Maldives learn about the UAE’s methodologies in government work

Members of the Executive Leadership Program of the Government of the Republic of Maldives – which was launched within the framework of the strategic partnership in government modernization between the UAE and the Republic of Maldives, as part of a knowledge visit to the country – learned about the best experiences and practices developed by the UAE government in various fields of government work and administration, and the methodologies aimed at sustaining government modernization. .

The Maldives Government Executive Leadership Programme, which includes 29 ministers, deputy ministers and government leaders, aims to provide members with the necessary experience and skills to deal with challenges and achieve sustainable growth, empower them with a forward-looking perspective on future trends, and enhance their capabilities with best practices in developing policies, formulating strategies, and managing the performance of institutions. Introducing them to international best practices, in addition to enabling them to achieve sustainable achievements supported by competitive visions, to achieve long-term success.

Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, Abdullah Nasser Lootah, stressed the importance of sharing knowledge and successful innovative models in modernizing and developing government work, and building the capabilities of empowered government cadres with a forward-looking future perspective that qualifies them to anticipate changes and ensure the highest levels of government readiness for the future. The visit of members of the Executive Leadership Program to the Government of the Republic of Maldives witnessed the organization of 23 knowledge tours to leading government agencies in the UAE, and the holding of 26 meetings with Emirati government officials and leaders to learn about their experiences, and the organization of meetings with more than 40 Emirati experts who specialize in various fields of work and government administration. Intensive workshops and dialogue sessions were held over five working days.
