A 5.6 magnitude earthquake shakes the island of Luzon in the Philippines

The German Geological Sciences Research Center (GFZ) said that a 5.6-magnitude earthquake shook the Philippine island of Luzon today, Monday.

 

The center added that the earthquake occurred on A depth of ten kilometers.

 

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that the earthquake shook the northern town of Bangui in Ilocos Province. The institute does not expect damage, but said it is likely that there will be aftershocks.
