"Dubai Electricity Research Centre" Develops a smart application for fault management

Dubai, December 30 / WAM / The Research and Development Center of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has developed a smart application to automate the processes of selecting and dispatching field crews with the aim of effectively managing alarms and troubleshooting faults on site.
The authority explained in a statement today that the new digital solution relies on the Internet of Things (IoT) platform, which contributes to improving the efficiency of responding to faults and reducing response time to a minimum, by automating the process of selecting and sending the specialized team to the fault site to ensure that the system is fully restored. as soon as possible.
The new solution also includes the feature of generating real-time reports, including tabulated summaries and detailed records of the team that was dispatched, details of the failure and the actions taken to fix it.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said that the Authority’s Research and Development Center constitutes an incubator for innovation and a pioneering scientific platform with tangible contributions to enriching the scientific and research community locally and globally.
