ADNOC aims to redirect 200 billion dirhams to the local economy within 5 years

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) aims to redirect 200 billion dirhams to the local economy over the next five years, through its program to enhance national content.
This strategic initiative will contribute to driving growth and economic diversification, reinforcing ADNOC’s commitment to supporting the country’s long-term prosperity.
This new goal provides greater opportunities for local and international companies to benefit from ADNOC’s plans to purchase products that can be manufactured locally. It also contributes to encouraging investment in the manufacturing and industrial sector in the UAE, and providing more job opportunities for citizens.
ADNOC’s program to enhance national content during the year 2024 contributed to redirecting 55 billion dirhams to the local economy, and providing 5,500 job opportunities for citizens in the private sector, through cooperation with the Emirati Talents Competitiveness Council (NAFES).
Since the launch of the program in 2018, it has achieved an economic value of 242 billion dirhams, and the number of Emirati cadres employed in the private sector has reached 17,000 citizens, which confirms ADNOC’s commitment to contributing to achieving sustainable economic growth and developing national talent.
The CEO of the Human Resources, Institutional and Commercial Support Department at ADNOC, Yasser Al Mazrouei, said that in line with the directives of the wise leadership, ADNOC continues to play its pivotal role as a major catalyst for diversification and economic growth in the country through its program to enhance national content, which is achieving great successes.
Since 2022, ADNOC has signed agreements with Emirati and international companies worth 72 billion dirhams to manufacture key products locally, which will enable it to accelerate the achievement of its goal of purchasing products that can be manufactured locally worth 90 billion dirhams as part of its procurement plans by 2030.
