9% growth in the number of passengers at Egyptian airports during 2024
Cairo, January 1, 2020: The number of passengers at Egyptian airports increased by 9% during the year 2024, compared to the year 2023, according to what was announced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in Egypt.
The Middle East News Agency, ASHA, reported, quoting the Ministry’s media center, that the total number of passengers at Egyptian airports during the year 2024 reached 22.097 million passengers, compared to 20.276 million passengers for the year 2023. The number of flights at Egyptian airports also reached 2024. To 167,684 thousand flights, an increase of 3% compared to the year 2023, which reached 162,773 thousand flights.
Cairo International Airport recorded 28.775 million passengers, with a total number of 211,664 thousand flights in 2024, while the total number of passengers was 26.463 million passengers for 198,943 thousand flights in 2023.
