"Abu Dhabi Securities" Highlights growth opportunities within "Abu Dhabi Global Entrepreneurship Festival"

ABU DHABI, April 17, 2017 (WAM) – The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Group announced its cooperation with the “Abu Dhabi Global Entrepreneurship Festival” as a “Capital Markets Partner”, as part of its efforts to enhance financial culture, develop investment skills, and consolidate financial awareness among the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors.

The Abu Dhabi Global Entrepreneurship Festival will be held from April 20 to 22 under the patronage of Sheikh Zayed bin Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, investors and decision-makers within a qualitative initiative that contributes to accelerating the building of a knowledge-based economy and supporting sustainable growth paths.

Abdullah Salem Al Nuaimi, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Group, said that the UAE has an abundance of talent and ambitious ideas, while Abu Dhabi continues to consolidate its position as a global center for entrepreneurship and capital flow, and the market constitutes one of the basic pillars of the financial system, through an integrated framework that supports entrepreneurs and traders in the market.

He explained that linking entrepreneurs and investors to capital markets contributes to supporting business growth and wealth development, and enabling companies to expand and transform into listed companies with a global presence, in a way that supports the long-term economic vision of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Al Nuaimi expressed his hope that the exchange of financial insights and knowledge will contribute to preparing a generation that possesses a deep understanding of the basics of the market, adopts an approach based on long-term value building and responsible investment, and is capable of competing at the global level.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market includes more than 120 listed securities, and provides a trading platform that serves about 1.2 million investors from more than 200 nationalities.

During the festival, the market, in cooperation with its brokerage partners, including International Securities, Al Ramz Capital and Thunder, will share a set of insights and analyzes related to markets and investment with the event participants.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market team will also work to guide small and medium-sized companies and companies achieving rapid growth towards understanding the system of initial public offerings and the listing mechanism, while highlighting the main market and the growth market as main paths to support business expansion and transform them into companies capable of competing globally.

The market provides integrated support that includes various stages, from pre-listing consultations to post-listing investor relations services, which enhances governance and contributes to achieving sustainable value.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange continues its role as a strong platform for capital flow, with listed companies achieving stable returns for shareholders.

During the period between 2023 and 2025, companies listed on the market distributed about 205 billion dirhams in cash dividends, an indication of the strength of market foundations and the continuity of growth strategies.

The Abu Dhabi Global Entrepreneurship Festival, which attracts more than 20,000 visitors with the participation of more than 100 international speakers, provides a strategic platform that allows the Abu Dhabi Securities Market to expand the investor base and enhance the spread of financial culture.

During the festival, the market will also activate communication with brokerage companies, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of market mechanisms, risk management, and adopt a disciplined investment approach.
