Munther Rayahna is a writer for the first time…with a novel "A world that breathes death"

The artist Munther Rayhana is preparing to engage in the experience of writing for the first time, through a new novel entitled “A World that Breathes Death,” with the participation of writer Dr. Margot Haddad, which will be presented at the Cairo International Book Fair during its 56th session, which begins on January 23 of this year. And it will continue until next February 5. 

 

Monther Rayahna said in statements Journalist, Today, Thursday: “Writing has never been strange to me, and for me it is a life that I have been living and breathing since I was a student at the university, in which I find my true voice, and I consider it my friend in isolation. For me, words are not just tools, but rather another life that I live whenever I write.” In most of my artistic work, I was passionate about drawing characters and creating scenes, and I shared their ideas with the script writer and director, and they were always positive and enriching. “The work” is “. We are also working on another novel called There, which is a joint project between me and Margot, and it will in turn be turned into a movie. Soon. There she is inspired by our shared imagination, but she bears our fingerprints together, as if we were drawing her worlds with two souls They are harmonious.

 

Regarding his writing teachers, Munther said: “I did not have a single teacher who taught me how to write, for life itself was my first and lasting teacher. The beauty of the language I carried in my ears ever since.” Childhood, when my mother was reading the Holy Qur’an with her light-like voice, the words would creep into my ears like an angelic whisper, flowing with her tones and planting an impact on my soul that would never go away, perhaps. From there, from my mother’s voice, my journey with language began, where I realized that the word is not just letters, but music that carries within it a whole life.” 

 

He continued: &ldquo Then reading came to open the doors of new worlds for me, the writings of Sophocles and Euripides, Marquis and Kafka, and I delved into Greek and Greek literature. These texts were my teachers, and I confirm that writing is a talent that you are born with. By nature, and polishing it with culture and knowledge so that it flourishes and becomes complete.

 

Regarding his participation in the Cairo International Book Fair, he said: “It is a defining moment in my career, as it is one of the most important exhibitions in the Arab world.” In this country whose art I adore and whose status I appreciate, for my first book to be present here, and to be published from the land of Egypt, is a great honor for me.
