South Korea’s anti-corruption agency sent investigators to execute an arrest warrant for deposed President Yoon Seok-yeol, while hundreds of his supporters gathered in front of his residence in Seoul, vowing to prevent attempts to arrest him.
Investigators with the Corruption Investigation Bureau of high-ranking officials were seen carrying boxes into several vehicles before leaving the bureau’s building in Gwacheon City on Friday morning.

The Corruption Investigations Office has not yet issued confirmation of the number of investigators sent.
Arrest warrant
The Seoul court issued an arrest warrant against Yoon after he evaded several requests to appear for investigation and prevented searches of his office in Seoul, obstructing the investigation into whether his action in imposing martial law on December 3 amounted to rebellion.

In a message to conservative supporters gathered outside his residence, Yoon said he would fight “to the end” against “anti-state forces,” while his legal team warned Thursday that any attempt to arrest him could be met by his presidential security service or even by civilians.
