The Center’s external contributions, according to a report issued today on this occasion, consolidate the frameworks of cooperation that bring it together with major Arab and foreign publishing houses and contribute to organizing cultural programs that highlight its latest publications, and reflect Abu Dhabi’s pioneering role in supporting the culture and publishing industry internationally, and devoting its position as a beacon for spreading knowledge regionally. .

It is also in line with the essence of the center’s strategy, which seeks to introduce the world to the rich Arab culture, and to highlight its literary and cognitive contributions by launching ambitious initiatives, organizing various events, and building bridges of cultural and knowledge exchange that enrich the international literary scene, as a means of dialogue between peoples.

Since its inception, the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center has succeeded in establishing partnerships and professional cooperation with the most prestigious cultural and creative centers in the world, which in turn have embraced many of its initiatives.

The active presence in specialized international exhibitions provides the opportunity to develop these partnerships, organize more meetings, and conclude cooperation agreements with the most prominent cultural bodies and international publishers.

During its participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2024, the Center launched the “Promoting the Arabic Book” initiative, which witnessed the submission of 2,000 Arabic titles to libraries in France, Germany, and Spain, in addition to its efforts to introduce the Arabic language during the “Arab Days” initiatives in Moscow and Japan, to highlight its potential. And its richness in front of the largest global cultures.

External participations provide an important platform for concluding contracts to purchase translation rights for the “Kalima” project, concluding deals with agents and distributors, and selling the center’s books and publications. They also come within the framework of the “Protocol of Cooperation and Exchange between Book Fairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council.”

The Center’s relationships with prestigious cultural institutions and bodies around the world contribute to expanding the scope of its presence and participation in major events, in addition to allowing intellectuals from various countries to participate in the activities and events organized by it, the most important of which is the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

The Center invests these broad participations in introducing the activities and programs of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, the advantages of participating in it, and its pavilions and spaces, thus paving the way to attract publishers from new markets and attract major publishers and writers, in conjunction with highlighting the Sheikh Zayed Book Award, and the Generation Treasure and Gold Narrative awards.
