Dubai Fashion Week attracts an elite group of international buyers and designers

DUBAI, 29 JANUARY / WAM / Dubai Fashion Week, organized by the Dubai Design District in cooperation with the Arab Fashion Council during the period from the first to the sixth of next February, attracts an elite group of international designers and buyers from all over the world, which contributes to consolidating Dubai’s position as a growing global capital of fashion.

International Indian fashion designer Manish Malhotra will return to the Dubai catwalks during the week to present the final show of the fall and winter season, in a move that reflects the growing status of Dubai as a global center for the fashion industry and creative innovation.

Malhotra stressed that his new participation embodies his commitment to expanding his presence in Dubai as a global forum for creative people and a platform for cultural dialogue between East and West, noting that his global collection reflects a contemporary cultural narrative and high craftsmanship in design.

For her part, Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group, Dubai Design District, confirmed that Malhotra’s return for the second year in a row reflects the growing confidence of international designers in Dubai Fashion Week as a leading international platform for creative exchange.
