المملكة: “School Paramedic”… 500 “Life Ambassadors” in the Kingdom’s schools

The Minister of Education, Yousef Al-Benyan, approved the regulatory framework for the “School Paramedic” project, which comes within the integration efforts between the Ministries of Education and Health.
The project, which will be implemented by the Student Capacity Development Agency, represented by the School Health Affairs Department, aims to qualify educational and administrative staff in schools on the principles of first aid, so that they will be able to deal with emergency situations with high efficiency.

The project will be launched in two phases. The first phase focuses on qualifying 500 central trainers from school health affairs, each of whom holds a license from the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to train cadres in schools on the “Ambassador of Life” program for two academic years, while the second phase aims to localize and sustain the training. To ensure the continuation of the program and achieve its long-term goals.
According to the regulatory framework, the Director of the School Health Affairs Department will assume the task of coordinating the project, in cooperation with a liaison officer from the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, to supervise the central training phase according to the specified dates.
Central trainers from school health workers will be nominated based on specific numbers for each educational administration in the regions and governorates of the Kingdom.
