A Jordanian show at the Sharjah Desert Theater Festival

Sharjah, December 14 / WAM / The activities of the ninth session of the Sharjah Desert Theater Festival, which was held in the Cave area, witnessed the Jordanian theatrical performance “Ya Zein”, written by Ahmed Al-Faouri and directed by Iyad Al-Shatnawi, inspired by the environment of the Jordanian desert.

The events were attended by His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture, and a group of those interested in cultural and theatrical affairs. Ali Alian, Ghada Abbasi, Hani Al Khalidi, Rasmiya Abdo, Karam Al Zawahra, Rahaf Al Rahbi, Najm Al Zawahra, Nagham Batarseh, and Rawan Thalji participated in the work tournament. The music was recorded by Murad Damerjian, while the lighting was designed by Muhammad Marashdeh.

The critical discussion that followed the show, in which Dr. Abdul Karim Jawad from the Sultanate of Oman spoke mainly, praised the integration and harmony of the elements of the work, describing the show as enjoyable.

For his part, the director of the show pointed out that the desert theater experience contributed to discovering the richness of the Jordanian desert and restoring many colloquial vocabulary and expressions whose use in daily life had disappeared.

Ahmed Bourahima, Director of Theater Administration and Director of the Festival, honored Dr. Abdul Karim Jawad, along with the Jordanian Show Band.
