Closing of the UAE Formula 4 Boat Championship and honoring the winners
Sharjah, January 4 / WAM / The second round of the UAE Formula 4 Boat Championship was concluded this evening on Khor Fakkan Beach, as part of the Khor Fakkan Marine Festival, organized by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club.
Salem Al-Yafei achieved first place in the championship, Obaid Mubarak came second, both from the Mubarak Marine team, and Khaled Mohammed Al-Zarouni came third from the Sharjah team.
In conclusion, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, accompanied by His Excellency Ahmed Issa Al Hosani, Director General of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, honored the winners. Emirati Alia Fairouz was also honored in recognition of her participation in the UAE Formula 4 Boat Championship, being the first Emirati woman to participate in this category.
His Excellency Ahmed Al Hosani said that we, at the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, are proud to organize the UAE Formula 4 Boat Championship as part of the Khor Fakkan Marine Festival, which reflects our continued keenness to support and develop marine sports in the UAE.
He added that the tournament witnessed strong participation from the best local and international competitors, which reflects the UAE’s position as a leading sports destination in the region, stressing the success of the tournament, which highlights the commitment to providing distinguished sports platforms that enhance the spirit of competition and cooperation among marine sports enthusiasts.
