Dubai Electricity wins two awards from the “Global Innovation Awards 2024”

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) won two awards from the “Global Innovation Awards 2024”, organized by Enterprise Asia, to honor distinguished institutions in the fields of innovative services, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and spreading a culture of innovation.

The Authority won two awards in the innovative services and solutions category, for the “Automation Mechanism between the Meter Data Management System and the System that Collects Meter Data and Uses of Meters through the Corporate Services Bus” initiative, and the “Warehouse and Comprehensive Portal for Institutional Architecture (Digital Architecture)” initiative.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said that the Authority continues its journey of innovation and strengthening its position as one of the most innovative and pioneering service institutions in the world, indicating that the Authority’s strategy focuses on enabling a sustainable future for its customers and the communities it serves through innovation and technology. This is in line with the national innovation strategy.

It is noteworthy that the initiative, “The automation mechanism between the meter data management system and the system that collects measurement data and meter uses through the institutional services bus,” contributes to improving the reliability and efficiency of transaction monitoring, reducing manual processes and human intervention, and ensuring smart response in real time.

The “Comprehensive Repository and Portal for Corporate Engineering” initiative works to enable smart decision-making through innovative engineering information, in addition to facilitating engineering management, supporting strategic harmony in all sectors of the organization, and improving operational processes and institutional agility.
