DUBAI, 6 JANUARY / WAM / This year’s “Freej Ezbet Al Boush” activities, organized by the Events Department at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center in cooperation with Dubai Ambulance, kicked off today with the participation of 70 students.
A group of introductory videos reviewed the various activities included in Al Freej this year, via the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival’s YouTube channel, to enhance cultural awareness and instill national values in the hearts of rising generations, so that participants can learn how to handle the “mount” and install the “shaddad,” and practice Shooting with the traditional “Saktoun” rifle, and learning the “Light Flag” to make fire in traditional ways, which enhances self-reliance and appreciation of traditional arts.
These activities aim to enhance cultural awareness and consolidate national values within the vision of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Centre, to preserve the UAE’s heritage and pass it on to future generations.
The “Ezbat Al Boush” event is considered an essential part of the efforts of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, as it embodies traditional Emirati life and aims to transfer the heritage to new generations in an interactive manner, enhance national belonging among young people, and introduce them to the values and traditions of their ancestors, which deepens the sense of pride in their heritage.
