Major US stock indices closed lower at the end of trading on Tuesday.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index ended trading down 66.20 points, reaching 5,909.54 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 375.77 points, recording 19,489.21 points at the close.
It also fell by 179.06 points, ending trading at 42,527.50 points.
