Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the “Youth for Sustainability” Center will be held from January 14 to 16, as part of the activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, which is being held in the capital. The “Youth for Sustainability” platform is a global initiative launched by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company “Masdar” to empower the next generation of sustainability leaders. Mohammed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, said that the Youth for Sustainability platform has succeeded, since its launch in 2016, in enabling thousands of young men and women to contribute an active role in building a sustainable future, in line with the efforts of the UAE and its constant keenness to build and prepare leaders. He added that the Youth for Sustainability Center provides, during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, a platform that allows communication between young people around the world, governments, sector leaders and society, with the aim of allowing them to participate in an important role in advancing economic, social and environmental progress.

By providing the next generation with skills, knowledge and networking opportunities, the Youth for Sustainability platform contributes to preparing independent sustainability leaders around the world.

Attendees can participate in a wide range of interactive sessions, workshops and networking events, which include the “Annual Youth for Sustainability Forum”, which includes interactive sessions, important panel discussions, and inspiring keynote speeches by experts, entrepreneurs and innovators, in addition to the “Out of the Laboratory” exhibition, which is considered a market. An innovative exhibition showcasing the latest climate technologies and solutions to achieve climate neutrality developed by startup companies and student projects, including participants in the Youth for Sustainability platform, in addition to “Communicating with Youth.” These are workshops that address the introduction of climate issues, and involve young people in simulated climate negotiation experiences, as well as a “Climate Innovation Competition Presentation Day” in which young innovators will present their innovative solutions centered around water scarcity.
