Zayed Educational Complex joins the Schools Chess Project

Dubai, January 9 / WAM / The Emirates Chess Federation announced that the Zayed Educational Complex, in the Al Suyouh area in Sharjah, has joined the list of educational institutions and schools participating in the project to spread chess in schools, which the Federation is adopting.
The project aims to enhance the spread of the game of chess among students, by establishing school chess clubs, and providing the necessary technical, technical and logistical support for them. It also seeks to build a strong base for this game among the emerging generations, and to nurture promising talents and attract them to join chess clubs.
His Excellency Taryam Matar Taryam, President of the Emirates Chess Federation, headed a delegation that visited the educational complex, which included representatives of the Sharjah Chess Cultural Club and the Sharjah Girls Chess and Culture Club.

His Excellency affirmed the Federation’s commitment to providing all forms of support necessary to establish the School Chess Club in the complex, in cooperation with the Sharjah Chess Clubs.
He pointed out that this visit comes within the framework of the Federation’s plan to expand the base of game practitioners, through the establishment of school chess clubs, which contributes to the discovery of new talents that are in the interest of the national teams.
For her part, Hessa Al-Zarihi, Director of Zayed Educational Complex, praised the initiative and its importance in enriching school activities and developing students’ intellectual skills, stressing that this step represents a qualitative addition that contributes to developing the educational environment in the complex.
